Leonardo van Dijl made his debut with "Get Ripped" which won the Grand Jury at Outfest Los Angeles. Two years later he obtained a Master degree in film at the Luca School of Arts Brussels with the short film "Umpire", which premiered at Locarno Film Festival. It was given an honorable mention at San Sebastian Film Festival and went on winning a Wildcard for Best Short Film by the Flemish Audiovisual Fund. His new short Stephanie was selected for the Official Competition of Cannes Film Festival. Currently he is writing his first feature film.

Leonardo van Dijl debutta con "Get Ripped", vincitore del Grand Jury all'Outfest Los Angeles. Due anni dopo consegue un Master in cinema presso la Luca School of Arts di Bruxelles con il cortometraggio "Umpire", presentato in anteprima al Locarno Film Festival. Riceve una menzione d'onore al San Sebastian Film Festival e prosegue vincendo un Wildcard per il miglior cortometraggio dal Flemish Audiovisual Fund. Il suo nuovo cortometraggio "Stephanie" viene selezionato per il Concorso Ufficiale del Festival di Cannes. Attualmente sta scrivendo il suo primo lungometraggio.
